@Duchess_Datura I use Hostgator as well. It was recommended to me by the owner of DommeDose and I've never had any problems :)

@hostgator all hostgator services seem down for me as well my vps is down with about 50 websites

I'm thinking there may be some DNS servers going down. reports of wp.org, wp.com and hostgator sites not being up. WP up for me.
