Heroku has a crappy load balancer. Not only it doesn't do websockets, also it doesn't close long-polling connections when client goes away.

@johnrh @akrabat @heroku if it solves a problem you have, then sure.. for PHP you also have @fortrabbit (and likely others)

@mdesjardins @schof @patio11 makes sense, but would be interested to know if moving off heroku actually reduces downtime/incidents
