@NatNoBrains best hosting is webfaction. cheapest might be ixwebhosting, who i used back in the day and were good value

@deppisch basically I use IXWebHosting and they have an editor you work with. I think there's a space for you to create your own tho.

@jamiewieck IXwebhosting. Been using them since 2007. No issues. Media Temple is a good host as well.
