Although, thanks to @wpengine support it's now all a distant memory. 100% WORTH PAYING FOR GOOD DOMAIN HOSTING. These folk are the best.

@mashable wpengine backup/restore system is corrupted. warning: DO NOT USE RESTORE. or the site will screwed up.
