@bitfield It was an older ubuntu installation and they upgraded the xen hypervisor at LiNode, so I suspect the problem lies there somewhere

Tried to sign up for the @linode giveaway but seems they can't handle the load, and just errors out, which is not too encouraging.

Feeling dumb: after enabling #ipv6 on my #linode the whole network seems shaky, even on ipv4.
