So it seems the @awscloud docco is there, but as usual errors are cryptic. Make sure the s3 bucket is in the same region as the instances.

I can't recommend Amazon Web Services (AWS). I just got a bill for $24 after doing NOTHING the past month (supposed to be pay-for-use)
